Luteria Italiana 1860-1960
A century of Italian Violin making IV.
2001, 411 pages, 33 x 24cm
The last of four volumes is different from the others. It considers 150 years of violin making in Italy instead of 100 as it is in other three volumes. The reason is arrival of great master Giovanni Battista Guadagnini to Turin in 1786. The history of violin making in Piedmont begins here. Prior to his arrival, Piedmont had not had such important violinmakers.
